This summer my friend and I have 16 peices of art minimum to complete in a spand of eight weeks for AP Art (first year university) in grade 12. I am already behind and desperately trying to complete my first image.

This attempt of a creatures face made out of clouds or some other substance was meant for my first image. I originally attempted to create clouds out of conte but I struggled significantly and soon gave up. Next I decided to create sometihng out of the clouds and again made five attempts with the contes. Feeling frusterated I turned to paints, knowing I could at least create decent clouds with the media.

While I painted this image began to emerge and I noticed it did not look like the scrap I had intended. It leaped out at me, the way the yellow, orange, and red grabbed at me, while the white and black blended, giving the figure shape and a menacing appearance. I have never had a style such as this and it intrigues me immensley to see how far I can push this discovery. I have thought of using this image and creating a large scale painting all it's own, but it will be within the originally intended first image for AP Art. Most of the rest of the image will also be paint... not sure about the man within the image though. I've had unpleasant experiences attempting to paint people.
